Universe As A Manifestation Of Consciousness

 Scientists such as theoretical physicists, astrophysicists claims nowadays that universe has consciousness,infact so many scientists claimed this aspect of the universe.

Gregory Matloff,physicst ,suggested in 2017 ,in his research paper that " Universe has consciousness" and also Carl Sagan in the past said that since the elements which made life on earth and made human life and creatures on this planet ,came from this  universe ,then it is highly possible that stars ,nebula ,galaxies also have consciousness,since they are also have same elements of life. 

Philosophers of pansychism and cosmopsychism  suggests that there is an all pervading consciousness throughout the Universe . Some religion such as " Hindu Sanatani Dharma" ," Budhhism" are very decisive about this idea. 

In Hindu Sanatani Dharma this supreme - all pervading consciousness is called " Brahman". This Brahman do not have any attributes or do not have any " anthropomorphic " qualities to it ,it is just pure consciousness and onlooker( Sakshi ). This in  Advaita Vedanta Metaphysics called as  " Nirgun Brahman" ( supreme - pure  consciousness without any attributes ) . 

Upanishads and Vedas suggests that this Consciousness is beyond imagination and inscrutable in nature, using our limited intelligence we can not comprehend this Consciousness. 

Neuroscience in the model of consciousness ,which they called as NCC( Neural correlates of consciousness) , suggests that " consciousness is nothing but neural firing in the some parts of human brain and it is emergent qualities of neurons and neurochemical biology and electrochemical interaction in the body".

Neuroscientists suggests that " Consciousness comes in human from their Brain , specifically from frontal lobe or prefrontal cortex . " And other part of Neuroscientists suggests that " Consciousness comes from hind-brain that is the region of cerebellum ,pons, medulla. " 

 Though model of NCC do not offer any particular idea about consciousness and do not offer any solution for " hard problem of consciousness " and that's because " hard problem of consciousness" deals with qualia( subjective phenomenal experiences) and first person experiences. 

Neurobiologists also claim that only " quantum consciousness" can give the origin of consciousness which is based on quantum mechanics. 

Neuroscientists use " empirical approaches to discover neural correlates of subjective phenomena i.e. neural changes which necessarily and regularly correlates with specific experience. 

According to philosopher Rene Descartes " the Pinal gland is that which works as a  connecting bridge  between empirical signals in the brain and non -material soul or spirit" and some neuroscientists of  modern era suggests the same which had been suggested by Descartes long ago  that the "pineal gland is that which is a gland in  fourth ventricle of the brain which connects material with non material. "

But Neuroscience has failed thus far to explain from where the consciousness manifests or which part of brain gives rise  to  " minimal set of neural events"which eventually manifests as  consciousness. 

And since we don't know vaguely about human consciousness and can not figure it out using empirical approaches , hence we can not understand whether this universe has a consciousness or not . 

Despite this we are failing in neuroscience ,the philosophers of pan psychism and Cosmopsychism suggests that Universe is like a conscious being. 

Astrophysicists observed that the filamental structure of universe ( cosmic web structure) have an striking resemblance with the neural pathways and connections of human brain - and this raises further question that if the universe has consciousness or possess ability to transmit signals from one part to the another and can receive signals just like the human brain . 

Experiments are still conducting by scientists to speculate further in to this topic.
