Simulation Theory : World Is A Illusion ,Explained in terms of consciousness

The simulation theory is nowadays a well acceptable theory in the world of existence. physicists, especially theoretical physicists are now recognising this theory and even so many people around the globe suddenly paying attention to this theory and this  has been circulating through internet for so long.

The simulation theory was first theorized by argument of Rene Descartes on nature of reality, then suggested by philosopher Nick Bostrom that " reality may be is a simulation in a computer" and this probabilistic theory of professor Bostrom is called " Bostrom simulation argument".

The simulation theory again came into public eye due to commentary of Elon Musk ( owner and CEO of Space X ,Tesla ) .

Elon Musk said in an interview that " we may live in simulation " . Later in the interview he talked about that in previous generations how video game used to be and how technology has progressed throughout all these years that it can simulate reality for us ,we have simulators and it is inevitable that in future humanity will build a simulator in which we will be  characters .

In the same way it is possible that an highly technologically advanced race or so called     " Aliens" built an simulator machine in which we are currently living.

Though this hypothesis seems too far-fetched  but it is possible that this has some element of truth to it.

Not only just western philosophy proposed this " Simulation Hypothesis"but this was  proposed way way before in Atharvaveda  . In Hindu Sanatani Dharma this " simulation theory" is not far fetched claims like what  western philosophers suggests   but it is  grounded in science . Doctrine of " Maya" in Advaita Vedanta by Adi Shankaracharya shows us the intrinsic nature of reality in a profound way by dissecting it using rationality and pure intelligence.

Unfortunately, simulation is not what western philosophers suggests ,but is is more scientific and logical than their claims .

In Mandukya Upanishad it says that consciousness has four levels that is :

1. Jagrat ( waking state of consciousness)

2. Swapna( dreaming state of consciousness).

3.  Sushupti ( dreamless  deep sleep state of consciousness).

4.  Turiya or Ekatma( pure consciousness ,which transcends all three states of waking ,dreaming and dreamless deep sleep )

We all goes through the above 3 states ( i.e. waking ,dreaming , dreamless deep sleep ) but the Turiya (  4 th state of consciousness) is not currently accessible by  us and hence we only dwell on those 3 states . Those states can also be called as

   1. Conscious ( waking ) ,2. Subconscious      ( dreaming  ) ,3. Unconsiousness ( dreamless deep sleep) 4. Pure consciousness ( Turiya)

Now if one perceives   the world around  like a simulated reality or like a " dream state" then then Vedanta says that person is " pure  consciousness " and if he is able to perceive the world as manifestation of 3 states (that is waking ,dreaming and dreamless deep sleep)  all together then ,he has achieved the state of " Turiya" or " state of pure consciousness " .

One who enters this state of Turiya he perceives that he is just an observer of all the surroundings and realise that he is one   " unchangeable reality " which do not interact with its  environment but just observes in a introspective way.

He who achieved this state can detect the      " Maya ( unreal manifestations or simulated reality ) as it is.

In Hindu Sanatani Dharma the universe represented by Lord  Vishnu .

Lord Vishnu is depicted as lying on seshnag  ( the king of serpents ) on shir Sagar ( milk ocean in Vaikunth) ,his eyes are closed and from his pores of nostrils universes are emerging out ,he is the one who gives rise to different universes .when he exhale and when inhale different universes wipes out and comes into existence respectively   from the existence of his consciousness.

This depiction of Lord Vishnu is called as       " Mahavishnu " ( supreme form of lord Vishnu ,often called as" Cosmic Vishnu").

According to srimad Bhagavad and other Vedas such as  atharvaveda, yajurveda,Naryana Upanishad depicts this form of Maha Vishnu who is absorbed in deep meditation ( Yoga nidra) and by his yogamaya ( power of creation) comes different universes ( Multiverse) into existence. When we further analyse this depiction we see that ,Mahavishnu is an eternal - consciousness - bliss - existence          ( satchidananda ) ,which is indeed pure consciousness ( state of Turiya) from which everything comes into existence and the different  universes are  manifestations of that same consciousness ,but since the consciousness is intrinsically exists with Maya ( which is neither real nor unreal) gives rise to duality in a empirical way.

So ,when yogis who attains Samadhi ( state of pure consciousness) sees this reality that nothing exists beyond this one non-dual  pure consciousness and realise the world as a dream like state or as a simulation .

So , we see that the interpretation of the world being dream  ( simulation) is much more better written in Vedas and Upanishads than what western philosophy offers .

So ,we see that simulation theory is not exactly what western mind think but something which can only be experienced in a state of pure consciousness and to understand its true nature  we have to transcend our empirical perspectives
