Is Vaccum Space Really Vaccum ? : Introduction to Quantum vaccum state

Image
Space in physics is a all pervading reality, space permeates the entire Universe.   All particles, all bodies ,animate or inanimate bodies all within the space and everything we can imagine is within this fabric of space .  But a  question arises in the minds of scientists that " Is the space really empty ?" " Is vaccum space  really empty ?"  So in order to answer this question physicists modeled a theory which is called as " Quantum vacuum state " .                           This theory was proposed by physics working on the model of  " Q .E .D"(Quantum  Electro Dynamics )  .  The model of " Quantum vaccum state " was proposed during 1930s and during 1940s . The notion of " Quantum vaccum " was suggested by Scientist Warner Heisenberg who stated that  the general idea about space being empty is not true ,because there is nothing like " absolute vaccum"(empty space). Rather in a localised point in a region of space ,w

Aether And Higgs Field : A Comparative Analysis

"Luminiferous aether" or known as "ether"was a theory proposed by 19 th century physicists and became popular among scientific community as the model of ether was able   to explain how  light or electromagnetic waves propagate from source to other areas in space .            Hypothetical Aether Wind Model  James clerk Maxwell ,Nikola Tesla and other contemporary scientists believed in the concept of Ether . James Maxwell suggested that just like the sound waves propagated through air ,where air acts like a medium it may that electromagnetic waves ( light ) also travels and propagated through a medium which fills up the space uniformly ,which they called as " Luminiferous Aether"  or       " Ether" . The word" luminiferous " literally means " light bearing " .  The concept of aether was invoked to explain the ability of wave based light to propagate through empty space ( Vaccum) .                        Scientists thought that

Akasha and Prana : Nature And Existence In Hindu Cosmology

Image
"Akasha" is a vedantic doctrine on Cosmology ,which dates back to Upanishadic time period . The Akasha is described in Hindu Cosmology and in Upanishads such as "chandogya Upanishad "," prashna Upanishad " and in "yoga sutras "by Maharshi patanjali as the " primal state of existence", from which finer or subtle states of particles  ( Tanmatra ) are produced and those finer states of particles when become gross in aspects manifests as "matter"  (padartha) as we know it . In " Sankhya philosophy "also "Maharshi kapila "explains that out of the Tanmatra ( subtle state of matter ) all padartha( gross matter)  comes into existence .                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Most philosophy like " sankhya " ,       "

Conscious - subconscious - unconscious: Three states of human mind

Reality is what we perceive constantly day and night ,without any rest continuously. Our reality is what we see ,smell ,touch, feel, hear through these these five senses which are eyes ,nose ,tongue, skin, ears .        These five senses bring to us the necessary external stimulations in the form of nerve currents . I have already discussed how these nerve currents arises in the cell membrane of nerve cells due to difference in quantity of positive ions on each side ( both on the outside and inside of membrane ) and creates potential difference ,thus electricity gets flown through from one nerve ending which are called as " dendrites" to another nerve cell . This is the process how nerve currents created due to chemicals in the body ,thus the nature of this electricity produced in nerve cells is " Bio- chemical" .        Electrical impulses through nerve cells  Hence ,we see this electricity gets flown through the nerves ,just like how currents gets flown through cond

Nothingness : Origin of the Universe

Image
From where all this matter in the Universe manifested?  From where the Universe came into existence? From where the earth ,the sentient beings and everything came ?  Was there" something "   before the Universe  exist or was  there only  " nothingness " from which universe spring out ?  These questions have been asked in the  " Nasidiya sukta " of the " Rig Veda " ,which dates back more than 5000 years . Buddhism ( especially Mahayana ) or more specifically " Madhyamik Sunyavaad " proposes a theory of " Nothingness " and the preacher of this theory are named as the  "Sunnyvaadi"  ( believer in nothingness ).  The theory says that everything in the Universe and the Universe itself came out of "Nothing " .            Symbol of " nothing " in Buddhism  Sunyavaad proposes that  " Even before the universe was created ,there was nothing and this nothingness is the fundamental reality of Universe an

Mystery of "Hard problem of consciousness "

In order to understand what perception means we first have to understand what sensation means. If there will be no sensation ,there will be no perception .  Sensation generally comes from outward environment and stimulates our nerves and the brain centre and the brain gives a reaction to that " action of the sensation " and thus perception of that object happens .   "Every perception has a sensation ,but every sensation doest not necessarily has a perception." - for example ,if  we are very focused in doing something ,other sounds from outside generally do not come into our attention ,hence sensation of that sound carried inwards by the nerve currents but they do not create reaction in the brain centre ,so we can see that even sensation is there still perception of the sound do not occur . Sensation is merely an "external stimulation " ( stimuli ) and can only come through the five  sensory organs and the process of sensation is generally described as &qu

Energy and Consciousness : Fundamental reality of Universe

Image
Energy in physics described as "the capacity of a system for doing work ". This is the simplest and vaguest definition of energy in classical physics . This definition is right yet  unable to define energy in its true form  because the definition says " the capacity for doing work " hence as long there will be capacity in a body or in a system for doing work ,the energy can be expressed mathematically interms of both potential and kinetic form of energy.  Hence  in classical physics ,energy is defined  as long there is  work done which is measurable in quantity.                 Cosmic Energy of Universe   Energy can only be defined in terms of classical physics if there is relativity interms of motion and rest . If energy stays at rest with respect to its surrounding objects i.e energy stays  in inactive state it's called potential energy and when potential energy manifests as  motion with respect to its relative objects it's called kinetic energy .
